Report: Andrei Arlovski vs. Fedor Emelianenko official for Affliction
posted by hoder Andrei Arlovski will return to Affliction to battle current WAMMA heavyweight champion Fedor Emelianenko at the organization's second event, "Day of Reckoning," according to Affliction Vice President Tom Atencio.
MMARated.com was the first to report the news.
In contrast to previous reports, Atencio also said the event would not feature any boxing -- despite the involvement of Golden Boy Promotions.
The event was first organized on the 09/10 but was postponed due to the threat of Hurricane Ike to South Florida and rescheduled for November 5 at the Hard Rock Live - Hollywood in Fort Lauderdale, FL
WEC Middleweight Champion Paulo Filho will defend his championship again against Chael Sonnen in the main event of the fightnight. WEC Featherweight Champion Urijah Faber will as well put his title-belt on the line against Mike Brown.
